This was my third stay at this westin kl property and need to say that I was thoroughly disappointed. Primary reason for stay has always been the location but the hospitality level had increased across my previous visits but this time round it tanked really badly. Some key issues were : 1. First time ever, no one volunteered to drop the luggage and since I was really tired and it was one large suitcase and a bag, didn't bother much and carried on my own 2. Food menu has been the same since more than 1.5 years and it was always bad to begin with, considering very very limited global options and very heavy on malay food. Marriott is a global chain and more continental / Chinese / European etc options can be added (not asking for all but rather 1 key dish from each key cuisine). Somebody who eats non veg but not sea food is seriously screwed. 3. Complementary drinking water is not bottled anymore 😯. It is a 5 star and charging accordingly. How can you not give complementary mineral water bottles. The used bottles is not a hygienic way to provide water, even more so in the post Covid era. On a lot of request, they agreed to give 4 small 330 ml bottles per day 4. Room service was much delayed on several occasions 5. Room preference of view not being given (pavilion view, half of the rooms have that) despite being flexible with king / twin bed - almost my 10th night here but no loyalty from their end, so none will be shown from my end either now 6. Breakfast quality and options have also gone down. Plus I had requested for a normal cafe mocha in almond milk - they made something else twice before making it correctly and then needed to take away as was late due to all the waiting and they gave me a disposable cup that kept on spilling. Plus it was very difficult to get hold of anyone to take any request (I am lactose intolerant and hence couldn't have normal milk) 7. Multiple times the 'express' 0 number for service was not picked up and several times they responded after 30 seconds of ringing. Overall, I was a customer for life for them as I keep visiting kl for a client, but now have lost me as a customer for lifetime. 7. The room interiors are dated but nothing done to improve it at least in last 1.5 years or so 8. The light in the room is insufficient as it is really dim, yet nothing being done to address it. This was given as a feedback in my last two trips too but this time I had given up. Considering it is a business hotel, it definitely needs to be better lit to facilitate a better working atmosphere

Excellent service. Answered all our enquiries patiently and very responsive.The shower was damaged and we forgot to ask them to fix. They fixed it without us telling them to fix it when they make the room. Wide range of facilities such as swimming pool and gym

RIP OFF!!! 🤬🤬🤬 I have stayed at this hotel several times because the location is very good and close to the Pavilion shopping centre. Facilities and service are quite good. I asked the doorman to get me a taxi and he pointed me to one that was parked outside the hotel and asked me if I wanted to charge the fare to my room. For convenience I said yes and got on my way. I had already checked that using Grab the ride would cost me 8RM. Later that day I asked the hotel how much the taxi ride was and I was shocked to be advised that it was 43.3 RM! I complained to the hotel and Greg Gubiani GM and Chairman of Marriott Malaysia Business Council responded saying:- “The Hotel uses a third party for taxi services, which provides the current blue taxis, with full insurance, public liability…. The supplier gives to the hotel the option to use either a flat rate based on the destination to reach and charge to the room, or to use the Taxi meter (which starts at RM 6.00) and then the rate increases based on distance to reach, time of the day and traffic conditions. The fare can then be paid to the driver directly.” I was not given any option! There was a complete lack of communication by the hotel. It is a horrible feeling to be ripped off for a measly $10!

Fabulous One Bedroom Suite and Club Lounge

Enjoyed a short stay in a fabulous 1 bedroom suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was beautifully furnished with a great view - especially pretty at night. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bit of wow factor with the bath next to a full length window. We had access to the Club lounge on the 3rd floor, which also has a great view overlooking one of the busiest shopping streets in KL. The lounge was very busy during our stay, but the staff worked well to cope with the crowd. The food during cocktail hours wasn't as good as our last visit a few months ago, but still not too bad. A big shout out to Kumar N who made our stay so enjoyable - he has the heart and soul of the hospitality industry and is very passionate in his work. We had lunch in the Chinese restaurant and were impressed with the fine quality and good service. We took breakfast in the hotel's main restaurant ("The Living Room"), but were a little disappointed with the quality overall. However, Afternoon Tea in the same restaurant was an unexpected pleasant surprise - high quality with generous portions and great value at RM98 for a set. Overall, we had another lovely stay at this hotel, and the Club Lounge is one of our favourites in KL. The hotel has a great location, and we like the design of the hotel - oval shaped with a stylish interior design throughout. Our only gripe is that the car park access to the hotel lobby is a bit confusing and involves a change of lift, with a short walk between the lifts.

An excellent stay at the Westin KL, perfect location just opposite the Pavilion mall and right in the centre of the shopping and commercial district of KL. Everyone at the Westin was extremely helpful and courteous, the room was very clean and comfortable. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the great pool, especially during the warm evenings, service was excellent at the splash cafe and the living room restaurant. Breakfast was great, an excellent selection of items everyday. Already planning another trip soon inshallah.
